Bio
Peter Wynn Thompson began his photography career at The Daily Iowan newspaper while working towards a B.A. in Photojournalism at the University of Iowa. After graduating he spent 5 months working as a photographer for the Cedar Rapids Gazette before moving back to his hometown of Chicago to pursue freelance photography full-time. He began with local clients such as the Chicago Tribune and Jim Beam Brands, but soon moved to national and international clients like The New York Times, Getty, the International Herald Tribune, E! Entertainment, ESPN Magazine, Marriott, Future Brands, Der Spiegel and Gatorade. He has completed assignments as diverse as architectural projects, annual reports, breaking news events and feature pieces on travel, sports, cuisine and current events. He also regularly photographs celebrity and executive portraits. Peter currently lives in Chicago.
